
Roberto I. Ercolalo (born February 21, 1992) is an Italian-Argentine director, writer, and producer of short films.
Judge of the Durban International Film Festival 2023 (Official Academy Award®, Qualifying Festival). Judge of Los Angeles CineFest 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022 (California, USA).
President of the Jury of the Madrid Film Awards 2020-2021 (MADFA - Madrid, Spain).
Director of the Madrid Film Awards 2022. Under his guidance, the Festival has been named an official IMDb (USA) qualifying competition.
Co-Founder and Director of the Buenos Aires International Film Festival (BUEIFF: Argentina- Spain), BUEIFF Web Series (Argentina), and the Condor Awards (Europe).
Nominated for an Academy Award®, Canadian Screen Award®, and BAFTA® Qualifying Film Festival in the United States (Rhode Island International Film Festival). Winner of 15 official IMDb film festivals, his works have obtained 160 international laurels in 34 countries.
Invited to prestigious film festivals in New York, Los Angeles, Hollywood, Moscow, Roma, Delhi, Amsterdam, Marbella, among others.



He has received over 20 personal awards as a director and several others as a writer at many film festivals around the world. His first short film (Job Life) surpassing 100 international distinctions.
The tour of "Nature" (his second short film, and the first with Italian nationality) began through various international competitions. In this work, he expresses his particular vision of art and resources. Made it in black and white, without a single dialogue, focusing on the communicative power of images.
"Pedidos", a Spanish short film from 2021. This is his first color short film, precisely in the times of
Covid-19 when the world turned gray. Nominated by an Academy Award and BAFTA qualifying festival, has won several awards in twelve different countries, and award-recognized on all film festival that has been sent.

In 2022, together with MADFA (Madrid Film Awards), it creates and promotes its own award ("Ercolalo Award") to help young filmmakers from different countries, whose real situations do not allow them to afford a normal admission fee. Registration will always be free, the nominees will be screened in Spain, and they will receive lodging and diplomas. The winner is announced at the event and receives a statuette. Every year the country will change. Country of 2022: Argentina. All films are seen by the director.
